North Berwyn Park District has been offering trips and programs since 1976. You say you weren’t even born yet? Well you have a lot of catching up to do. Our schedule of summer events is exciting. Spots fill up quickly so make sure you register early. Perhaps you don’t see something you’re interested in or maybe you have an idea for something new. Stop by the NBPD offices and make a suggestion or come to one of our monthly meetings to meet the Commissioners. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month starting at 7:00pm – Join us!!

“Read, Recreation & Roll” – Creativity, The Ultimate Road Trip! 6/20/2009
Berwyn is in for an exciting ride with the new “Read, Rec & Roll,” program launching this summer as a part of a combined effort of the North Berwyn Park District, the Berwyn Public Library and Comcast to spread literacy in the arts and creative fun in the community of Berwyn. This unique mobile program will be offered free of charge to summer camps in Berwyn and will be comprised of an 8 week curriculum on Visual Arts, Performance Art, Creative Writing, or Dance. “Read, Rec & Roll in your CAMP!” was created to promote the Creative Arts and making them more accessible to children in the community of Berwyn as well as serving our local camp providers with a valuable free program. The North Berwyn Park District and Berwyn North District 98 Educational Foundation have teamed up once again to support the children in our community. This strategic alliance has improved the quality of life and created new educational opportunities for our students in the City of Berwyn.
