African Caribbean Drum and Percussion
Techniques for construction, maintenance, and playing
traditional West African and Caribbean drums will be
taught to students of all ages. Djembe, Djum Djum,
Conga and Steel drum techniques, their historic origins,
ceremonial usages, and contemporary applications will be
explored through structured classes, jam sessions, and a
culminating performance.
NOTE: Some instruments will be provided, or for sale,
please also bring drums or any percussive instruments.
