The position of Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the general maintenance of all parks, grounds, and facilities. The maintenance Supervisor supervises staff both year-round and seasonal. This is a supervisory/working position that works 40 hours per week and may be required to work additional hours based on the needs of the park district. The maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Executive Director.

Supervision of staff.Ordering Supplies.Maintains parks, buildings, facilities and park district assets.Maintains park district vehicles.Maintains park district equipment.Follows all regulations and rules per the park district personnel manual.Operates per the Park District Risk Management regulations.Supervises and assists in the operation of special events, park programs and community events.Works with all staff for the good of the park district.Performs all tasks required to support park district operations and programs.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.Must have and maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license.Ability to positively communicate with employees, the general public and park patrons.Have a general understanding of maintenance duties.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be able to work changing schedules based on the needs of the park district.Must be able to work independently and with other employees.Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.Applicants must submit to and pass a drug screen.Applicants must submit to a background check.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:    
To instruct, supervise, engage and ensure the safety of before and after school care student’s ages 5-12   years old. Inspect equipment and facilities for safety and report unsafe conditions to the site supervisor. 
Assist students with homework and other projects. Escort students to and from programs, following the established before and after school care schedule. And any assignment for the good of the park district.
Before Care hours are 6:45am-8:30am.       
After Care hours are 3:00pm-6:00pm  

Must be a minimum of 16 years old  
High school graduate, or currently enrolled in high school  
Has the ability to work independently and creatively  
Obtain and maintain current first aid and CPR certifications  

Pay Rate: 
$13.35 /hour 9-26  hrs/week depending on availability
