Pyrce Park & Pyrce Park Spray Pool: 16th Street & Wesley Avenue

Located on the corner of 16th Street and Wesley Avenue and under the shelter of mature trees, this park features two age-specific modular play units, a swing set, benches, ornamental trees, flowering shrubs, a Spray pool, and a picnic area.

This is a seasonal facility with operations from June-August.

History
Pyrce Park was acquired from the City of Berwyn in 1979. Various minor improvements were made at the park until 1992, at which time a master plan to redevelop the facility was initiated. In 2003 the old wading pool was replaced with a new Spray Pool. Renovations were also made to the playground equipment. The park received its name in July 1996 in recognition of Leona Pyrce, one of the founders of the agency.

• No glass or metal containers allowed.
• No alcoholic beverages.
• No pets or animals of any kind allowed on Park District property.
• Exception: Pets are allowed on a leash at the Berwyn Gardens.Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
• Rollerblades and skateboards are prohibited in the Berwyn Gardens Gazebo and Pyrce Park.
• Playground equipment is designed for youth under eleven years of age.
• Parents are responsible for the supervision and conduct of their children at all times.
• Inspect play areas before starting play.
• No loitering.
• Play at your own risk.
